CORFU. The trial of the 59-year-old Igoumenitsa fireman concluded on Thursday morning.
The accused shot and killed a 49-year-old man in Igoumenitsa in April 2017 because he believed that he was having an affair with his wife, whom he also shot and injured in the legs. He then called the police and gave himself up.
He was charged with intentional homicide, attempted homicide and an infringement of the gun laws.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment for intentional homicide and 12 years for attempted homicide.
