Homicide trial of Igoumenitsa fireman resumes

CORFU. Following a week’s postponement due to the inability of witnesses to attend last week, the trial of the 59-year-old Igoumenitsa fireman resumed today (21st February) in Corfu.
The tragic incident happened in April 2017 when, with a shotgun, the 59-year-old fireman shot and killed a 49-year-old man, whom he suspected of having an affair with his wife - whom he also shot and injured in the legs.
The accused man then called the police and gave himself up.
The 59-year-old man is accused of intentional homicide, attempted homicide and infringement of the gun law.
