Police put on film screening to collect food and basic necessities for children

CORFU. On Saturday afternoon, the children’s film Despicable Me 3 was screened with the price of admission being foodstuffs and/or basic necessities in aid of The Smile of The Child and the Corfu Society to support large families.
The screening was the initiative of the Regional Police Department in collaboration with the Orfeas Cinema and with the support of the Corfu Police Personnel and the local administration of the International Police Association (IPA).
The event proved to be a success and large amounts of food and other basic necessities were collected to go to families and children in difficulty at this time of the year.
Personnel from the Regional and Local Police Forces would like to express their warm thanks to all who helped to make the event a success.
