Three people escape house fire in Lakones

CORFU. Fire broke out in a house in Lakones at 3am early this morning. The fire was put out, but 10 firemen and fire engines have remained at the scene as a precaution.
According to the Fire Service, there were three people in the house, whose lives were at danger from the fire. Two of them managed to escape by themselves, but the third, who was an elderly woman, needed the help of the firemen to get out.
The three people were put in an ambulance and taken to Corfu General Hospital as they had slight injuries.
The Fire Service are now holding an investigation into the cause of the fire.
