New Irish Ambassador meets Corfu Mayor

CORFU.The new Ambassador for Eire in Greece, Orla O’Hanrahan, paid a formal visit to the mayor of Corfu, Kostas Nikolouzos, this morning at the Old Town Hall.
The mayor gave the Irish Ambassador a general briefing on tourism and cultural issues as well as problems that we face in Corfu such as waste collection, water supply etc.
Ms O’Hanrahan is in Corfu for the meeting of Greek and Irish authors that is taking place on the island from 18 – 20 October.
Also present at the meeting at the Town Hall was the Deputy Mayor for Tourism and Education, Vassilis Kavvadias.
