Representative from Corfu Port Authority elected Vice-President of MedCruise

CORFU.Τhe 51st General Assembly of MedCruise (Association of Mediterranean and Black Sea Cruise Ports) which took place in Toulon, France October 11-14 proved to be a great success for Greece and Corfu Port in particular.

In  the elections for the new Board of Directors, Aris Batsoulis, (Director of Development & Cruise Manager of Corfu Port Authority) was elected Senior Vice-President (1st Vice-President) of MedCruise, winning the  vast majority of votes from the large Mediterranean and Black Sea cruise ports. Theodora Rigas (Director of Strategic Planning and Marketing for Piraeus Port) was also elected and Thraysoulos Stavridopoulos (Chairman & CEO of Volos Port & General Secretary of ELIME) was elected in the group of small Mediterranean Cruise Ports. It’s the first time that all three representatives of Greek ports will be on the MedCruise Board of Directors. Airam Diaz Pastor from the port of Tenerife in Spain is the new President of MedCruise.
 
MedCruise is one of the most important organizations in the cruise sector and its development in the Mediterranean Sea. So the election of the representative of Corfu Port as Vice-President is a recognition of the important role played by the port in the Mediterranean cruise sector as well as bringing it to the forefront and increasing its influence in decision-making and policy-making in the region.
