Refuse collection in South Corfu temporarily on hold

An emergency problem has forced the Municipality of South Corfu to temporarily suspend waste collection. The Municipality is doing everything possible to resolve the issue quickly and is asking residents for their help in keeping the area clean.

The announcement

Residents are hereby informed that, due to an emergency problem, waste collection services have been temporarily suspended.

The Municipality of South Corfu is making every possible effort to resolve the problem immediately and restore the service as soon as possible.

We kindly ask residents, for as long as the problem persists:

• To limit the amount of waste they place in the bins.
• To temporarily keep their waste at home, where possible, in order to prevent the bins from overflowing and avoid negatively affecting the appearance and public health of our area.

We ask for everyone’s understanding, patience and cooperation until normal service is fully restored.
