Potamos riverside road closed to traffic and parking

The Ionian Islands Police Department has announced that all traffic and parking will be prohibited on the municipal riverside road in the Potamos area from Friday, November 28, at 6:00 p.m. until Sunday, November 30, at 6:00 p.m. The closure is required to carry out road maintenance and repair works.

The announcement also notes that the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Technical Services Department is responsible for installing all necessary signage—including warning, regulatory, and informational signs—to ensure the safety of both drivers and workers. This signage must clearly indicate the ban on vehicle passage and inform both drivers and local residents about the temporary traffic measures.

In addition, the Corfu Traffic Police will oversee the adequacy of the signage and advise the municipal engineer in charge of the works on any further measures needed to properly inform drivers and prevent accidents.
