When will Lefkimmi national road reopen in Messonghi?
CORFU. Road closure for repair works and clearance operations to reopen the road to vehicles.
According to the police report, extensive damage was caused by the collapse of a retaining wall combined with a simultaneous landslide, resulting in both lanes being blocked by debris, from the area of the Marbella Hotel in Agios Ioannis Peristeron up to Moraïtika,at the Miramare Hotel on the Corfu–Lefkimmi Road. Due to the severe weather conditions prevailing and the particular safety concerns arising from the landslide, the measure aims to ensure the smooth and safe flow of vehicle traffic in the area.
It was therefore decided to suspend traffic and parking on the Corfu–Lefkimmi Provincial Road, from the Marbella Hotel in Agios Ioannis Peristeron up to Moraïtika,at the Miramare Hotel , on Friday 28/11 from 22:00 until Saturday 29/11 at 10:00, in order to carry out clearing and road surface repair works.
