CORFU. Despite the fact that the Chamber of Commerce’s intention to take over the entire organisation proved fruitless, the Municipality has stated that it will once again create and operate the Christmas village itself this year, as usual.
The municipal authority reacted immediately to the Enimerosi article regarding the Christmas Village. Thus, despite the breakdown in cooperation between Central Corfu Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce, the latest news is that the Municipality will once again, as every year, create a Christmas Village in the town centre.
The Chamber wished to take over the entire organisation, but this was not possible, so it will limit its involvement to participating in the municipal event by providing three themed huts.
The Christmas Village is expected to be set up in the Old Town Hall Square, as it is every year.
