Capodistrias Museum: Winter opening hours
CORFU. The Capodistrias Museum in Koukouritsa has announced its winter opening hours. Until Sunday 3 December the hours are from 10am to 4pm.
From Monday 4 December until the end of February, visits to the Museum will be by appointment. During that period, visitors and groups can arrange a visit by contacting the museum.
The newly-restored museum opened on 15 October and since then there have been a large number of visitors and activities. In the first 1½ months, there were 1700 visitors who saw the permanent exhibition - either with the digital audio tour guide in 4 languages (Greek, English, French and Russian) or with one of the trained museum personnel as a guide.
Specially designed group visits were organized for 230 pupils and students from educational institutions and 316 children and adults from cultural groups, scouts and other special groups. The museum also organized educational activities in collaboration with ‘Anemoskorpismata’, a group of animators, for 150 children and 100 adults, parents and guardians. About 100 educational personnel also attended a special seminar about the Ioannis Capodistrias digital archives, organized in collaboration with the Regional Administration for Primary and Secondary Education and the Digital Archives curation team.
