"Capodistrias was the greatest politician and thinker Greece has produced since Pericles of ancient Athens. He had envisioned a Greece that would give birth to new ideas and innovations. If he had not been assassinated by Greek hands, Greece could have become a centre to which the rest of the world would look for inspiration in what the country creates.

"It is an optimistic film—if in the past there was a figure like Capodistrias, the country will give birth to such a figure again. It is a biography that does not distort historical facts; it sets into motion things that had been hidden. It shows that this man was the epitome of the Greek spirit—he was a role model, selfless, he loved Greece and the Greek nation immensely, and he was also an Orthodox Christian," he said among other things, and added:
"If someone were to ask me what I would want to do in my life before I go... I would say Capodistrias. This film is not for profit; it is a film of offering. In reality, it is being made through contributions from Greek-Americans, Greeks, and even some limited support from the state. We have decided—together with the KIKPE Foundation—that any potential proceeds will be donated for national causes. The premiere will take place in November in New York, and shortly afterward, it will be released in cinemas."
