Corfu 3rd Junior High pupils in Porto with the Erasmus Programme

CORFU. Five pupils from the 3rd Junior High visited Porto along with the Head Teacher and two other teachers.
The visit, which took place from 20 to 24 May, was part of the Erasmus+ 'Young Historians of Europe' programme and was the third on this programme, following those to Taranto in Italy and Nevsehir in Cappadocia.
The aim of the programme is to promote, sustain and safeguard cultural heritage - especially European - with the participation of school pupils. At the same time, language skills are developed as well as the principles of diversity and solidarity.
Six countries are taking part in the programme - Italy (coordinator), Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Malta and Greece (partner) - and the next visit will be to Barcelona from 7 to 11 October.
