CORFU. With the restoration of the main and central building, 17 luxury suites and a holiday-tourist village will be created.
The feverish pace of progress in the development works at the Castello, in Katomeri, also reveals the intention of the new owners to remain on schedule for the property's planned opening, which is being prepared as a 5-star boutique hotel. A holiday village will be developed in the grounds surrounding the villa.
According to recent related reports, the restoration of the main and central building will result in the creation of 17 luxury suites with a total capacity of 51 beds. In the three buildings to the north of the Castello, restaurants, bars and spa facilities will be established.
The 77-stremma property was transferred from the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) to Castello Bibelli S.A., owned by Sami Fais (of the Fais Group) and Bluehouse, for €4,111,505. The total investment is projected to reach €40 million and is expected to be completed by 2027.
