CORFU. The group from Corfu toured iconic landmarks in the area, such as the historic Pompeii, the magnificent Caserta Palace, and the famous Archaeological Museum of Naples.

Pupils from Corfu 3rd High School travelled to Naples, Italy, as part of the second activity of the Erasmus+ programme in the project "Our Future in One Water Drop."

Five second-year pupils, Haralambos Bochtis, Aris Voros, Christoforos Basias, Katerina Paramythioti and Katerina Goutzouki, had the opportunity to explore the importance of water as a global resource while also enjoying the cultural and natural beauty of the region.

The group from Corfu toured iconic landmarks, such as the historic Pompeii, the magnificent Caserta Palace and the famous Archaeological Museum of Naples, where they encountered the priceless cultural heritage of Italy. The delegation received a warm welcome from the Mayor of Naples, highlighting the importance of educational and cultural collaboration between countries through Erasmus+ programmes.

The group’s activities were not limited to cultural visits; they also participated in hands-on experiences at the beautiful Apennine lakes. Together with Italian and Polish pupils, they engaged in innovative activities related to the programme. Through interactive discussions and workshops, the pupils explored the significance of water management and environmental awareness, gaining a deeper understanding of future challenges.

As part of their education, they attended an engaging lecture by a specialist from the Italian Aerospace Centre, who introduced them to technologies aimed at sustainability and environmental protection. This session provided the students with an opportunity to learn how science and innovation can contribute to the preservation of natural resources, inspiring them to consider potential careers in the positive sciences.

The five pupils from the 3rd High School, accompanied by their two teachers, returned to Greece filled with new knowledge and experiences that will remain etched in their memories. Their participation in the Erasmus+ programme not only allowed them to explore the beautiful city of Naples and its landscapes but also to connect with peers from other European countries, exchanging ideas and deepening their appreciation for the values of collaboration and unity.

This journey was more than just an educational experience for the pupils; it was a window into a world that invites them to dream of and shape a better future—a future that might be hidden in a single drop of water.
