Air-conditioned space available in Municipal Theatre during heatwave

CORFU. "This service is being provided as part of the framework of social policy and the protection of public health of our municipality in cases where a significant increase in temperature is observed."

(CENTRAL CORFU MUNICIPALITY) Air-conditioned space at the Municipal Theatre, provided by the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality, continues to be available for those in vulnerable groups to shelter from high temperatures.

The air-conditioned space will be available 09:00-14:30 on weekdays and at weekends from 12:00 to 17:00, during the period 22-28 July.

Additionally, an air-conditioned space at the Day Centre for the Homeless will be open from 09:00 to 17:00 PM Monday to Friday, for the homeless (telephone for information: 26610 81855).

Members of the public can inquire about the availability of space at the following telephone number: 26610 38320 on working days, from 08:00 to 14:30.

A relevant announcement will be posted in the following Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipal locations:

This service is being provided as part of the framework of the municipality's social policy and the protection of public health in cases of significant temperature increases, based on the guidelines of the General Secretariat for Social Solidarity and Combating Poverty, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, in order to prevent homeless individuals from being exposed to danger due to the upcoming heatwave.
