Nine Corfu pupils earn distinctions in nationwide mathematics competition
CORFU. The long competition calendar extends all the way to the Mathematical Olympiad — and China!

3rd Grade Junior High School:

1st Grade High School:

Spyros Monastiriotis, Kastellani Mesis High School.
2nd Grade High School:

The pupils who earned distinctions themselves in the competition “THALES” will be invited to participate in the 86th Panhellenic “EUCLID” Pupil Mathematics Competition, which will take place on Saturday, January 17, at the Amphitheatre of the 1st High School, from 09:00 to 12:00.
The Corfu Branch of the Hellenic Mathematical Society will honour the pupils at the event hall of the 3rd–4th Junior High Schools on Sunday, January 25.
The pupils who earn distinctions themselves in the “EUCLID” competition will be invited to participate in the 43rd National “ARCHIMEDES” Mathematical Olympiad on Saturday, February 28, in order to select—through a qualifying competition—the national team that will participate in:

the 43rd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (May 3–8, 2026, Thessaloniki, Greece),
-
the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (July 10–20, 2026, Shanghai, China),
-
the 30th Balkan Junior Mathematical Olympiad (third ten-day period of June 2026, Romania), and
-
the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (April 9–15, 2026, Bordeaux, France).
