Mother collapses following argument in school administration office
CORFU. Following an argument between a pupil΄s mother and the school administration, she suffered a heart attack. She was initially taken to the hospital and was later transferred to Ioannina, to the cardiac unit.
A 50-year-old mother of a pupil at the 1st Junior High School is being hospitalised in the cardiac unit in Ioannina, following a heated argument she had at the school administration office.
The incident took place on Wednesday and caused concern throughout the school and the wider area, as both a police patrol car and an ambulance were called to the scene.
According to police sources, the child’s mother had been called in by the school administration to be informed about an incident among pupils, in which her son was reportedly involved. According to the same sources, the situation escalated, there were verbal exchanges, during which the woman felt unwell, and an ambulance was called.
At the hospital where she was taken, she was diagnosed with a myocardial infarction, and it was deemed necessary to urgently transfer her to Ioannina, where she is now hospitalised in the cardiac unit.
According to police sources, following a complaint filed by the school administration, a case file was prepared against her for insults and disruption of public service, which has been submitted to the prosecutor.
