New power link between Corfu and Thesprotia

This is the island’s third power link to the mainland grid. The contract is now being signed by ADMIE. The project was awarded to FULGOR S.A. for €61.19 million.

The interconnection includes a 150 kV high-voltage cable system, with 17 km underwater and 4 km underground, as well as integrated optical fibers along its entire length. The works are expected to be completed within 24 months from the contract signing.

The project is part of ADMIE’s investment plan to upgrade the power interconnections in the Ionian Islands. Following the upgrade of the Kyllini–Zakynthos link, work is also progressing on the Zakynthos–Cephalonia and Cephalonia–Lefkada interconnections, which are scheduled for completion by 2026.
