Two more turtle nests protected by North Corfu Municipality in Arillas
CORFU. The protection of marine life is everyone΄s responsibility.
On Thursday, July 24, the President of the Municipal Council, Panayiotis Papadatos, and the Deputy Mayor of Cleaning Services, Environment, and Circular Economy, Spyridoula Kokkali, visited Arillas beach, where fencing was placed around two new Caretta caretta nests, in order to protect them.
This action is part of the initiatives of the Municipality of North Corfu for the protection of local biodiversity and the enhancement of environmental awareness.
We remind all residents and visitors:

Do not touch or move the enclosures.

Do not place umbrellas or sunbeds near the nests.

Avoid movement near the nests during nighttime hours.

Do not use intense artificial lighting on the beach.

Keep noise levels low near the area.
The protection of marine life is everyone's responsibility. The Municipality of North Corfu continues to implement meaningful actions for the coexistence of humans and nature.
