All past and present mayors invited to discussion!
CORFU. An impressive initiative from the Anemomylos Cultural Society, which is inviting the public to a discussion on Wednesday, July 9, at 20:30 at the Flagginio.
At the discussion, which will take place in the open-air section of Flagginio, all former mayors of the Municipality of Corfu and Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, have been invited to participate as speakers: namely, Ioannis Kourkoulos, Chrysanthos Sarlis, Ioannis Trepeklis, Sotiris Mikalef, Kostas Nikolouzos, Meropi Ydraiou, and Stefanos Poulimenos.
The goal is to document the experience and views of those who have led the island’s central municipality—regarding the prioritisation of the island’s needs, the manner in which these are implemented over time, and the nature of the problems that arise along the way.
This initiative is being undertaken to support the local community’s effort to return to calm, meaningful, and productive dialogue on issues that concern both the strategic development and the resolution of everyday problems.
The invitation is signed on behalf of the Board of Directors by the President, Pantelis Kondos.
