CORFU. She probably got confused, thinking that all the cars were parked at the side of the road, which led her to ignore the correct direction of traffic.

An incident occurred on Thursday night near JYSK in Alepou, when, according to reports, a 70-year-old woman driving a car had been travelling for some time on the wrong side of the road without even noticing the stationary vehicles. Most likely, she got confused, thinking that all those cars were parked at the side of the road, which led her to ignore the correct direction of traffic.

As a result, she ended up in a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle that was travelling on the correct side of the road. The traffic jam at that spot was due to an ambulance at the scene providing first aid to a pedestrian who had fainted at the side of the road.

The presence of the ambulance had caused a delay in traffic flow, leading to the vehicles being at a standstill. Fortunately, the collision resulted only in material damage and no injuries were reported.
