The festive season began on Wednesday evening, on the eve of St. Spridon's feast day, with the lighting of the festive decorations in Corfu Town.
The lights were turned on in Pentofanaro, then Old Town Hall Square, followed by St. Spyridon Square (Plakada).
Corfu Town is gradually donning its festive attire, first to celebrate its patron saint, Saint Spyridon, and then for the Christmas festivities.
