Corfu Town Christmas lights switched on

The old town took on a festive look. Under the supervision of DIPETHE, the central parts of the town were lit up with Christmas decorations, one after another, on Saturday evening.

The celebration was broadcast live on Facebook by Enimerosi Kerkira and Vassilis Doukakis.

The celebration began at the Municipal Theatre, where musicians, dancers, and actors formed a cheerful, radiant procession. With stops at three iconic locations — Annunziata Square, St. Spyridon Square, and Pentofanaro — the town was gradually illuminated, culminating at Old Town Hall Square, where a live, theatrical fairytale led to the lighting of the large Christmas Tree and the Christmas Village.
