Motorcyclist, 18, injured in hit and run accident transferred to Athens

CORFU. Police are searching for the driver of the car that hit him.
An 18-year-old man was transferred to Attikon Hospital in Athens in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 29, after being seriously injured in a road accident in Ropa valley on Wednesday evening, August 28.
The young man, one of two on a motorcycle, was injured when a car hit them. The driver of the car abandoned the young men on the road and fled the scene.
The 18-year-old underwent surgery at Corfu Hospital, and early in the morning, it was deemed necessary to transfer him to Attikon Hospital.
The doctors in Corfu stabilised the young man, but there is still a risk that he may lose his leg.
Corfu police are searching for the driver in the surrounding area.
