Town centre without electricity - businesses protesting

CORFU. Up to now, the damage has not been fully repaired, resulting in the power being restored gradually. Efforts are continuing.
The town centre has been without power since Thursday night, July 18, due to a fault in a medium voltage cable.
In a post on Facebook, Mayor Stefanos Poulimenos stated the following (July 19, 12:16):
"I contacted the technical supervisor of DEI, and he informed me that the outage is due to a fault in a medium voltage cable.
DEDDIE crews are investigating the area where the fault is estimated to be in order to bypass the problematic section and restore the power supply.
However, they are currently unable to estimate the time required to resolve the issue."
