Missing American found dead on Mathraki

The 55-year-old American tourist who had been missing on Mathraki since Tuesday, June 11, was finally found dead. He was discovered on a beach near the old port, while police and firefighters had been searching the island for days to find him.

According to information received, his body was found by firefighters and the Red Cross.

Fifteen people from the North Corfu Special Missions Elite Team also participated in the search with their own vessel, accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Alantasi, who is also a member of the team.

An investigation is being conducted, and an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact causes of death.
