Ionian University International Conference: Embedding IT and Cyber in music training and performance
CORFU. Dissemination action in the framework of the European project MUSense.
The Ionian University is organising an international conference entitled: "Embedding IT and Cyber in music training and performance".
The conference will take place on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 October at the Ionian Academy and it is also a dissemination action of the Musense's (MUSic higher EducatioN meetS the cyber dimEnsion) project results.
The programme includes presentations and discussions on technology and music performance, inter-disciplinarity and trans-disciplinarity in music, augmented reality, multimedia technologies and distance and cyber performance, both as new skills for music students and as entrepreneurial opportunities for the creative industries, as well as the results of Musense so far.
The Musense project is funded by the European Erasmus+ programme KA220-HED (Cooperation partnerships in higher education) and implemented by the Palermo Conservatoire (Italy), the European Association of Higher Music Education Institutions (AEC) (Belgium), the Erasmus Brussels Higher Academy of Arts (Belgium), the Yasar University (Izmir - Turkey), the Lund University (Sweden) and the Ionian University (Departments of Music Studies and Audio & Visual Arts).
