Municipality finds hotel company illegally occupying Dassia land

Following an inspection of land in Nouklesi Magiorou, Dassia, the Municipal Public Property Department found that the Ikos company was trespassing and illegally putting up buildings on municipal land.

The inspection followed complaints by the Dassia Protection Association and Prota I Kerkyra municipal councillor Tilemahos Vassilakis.

"They basically judged that the decision of the Kato Korakiana local council was illegal," said the association, "and they are obliging them to return the area to the state it was in previously within five days.

"The Dassia Protection and Promotion Association will intervene whenever there are attempts to alter the natural environment and trespass on public property in our area."
