Adamantia Egglezopoulou new Corfu Hospital Director

CORFU. Her appointment has been agreed by the responsible committees at the Health Ministry and the final approval from the PM΄s office is expected shortly.
The new appointee for the role of Director at Corfu Hospital has extensive experience in hospital administration. According to information received by Enimerosi, Adamantia Egglezopoulo, who was Deputy Director at the Laiko General Hospital in Athens, will be taking over.
Her appointment has been agreed by the responsible committees at the Health Ministry and the final approval from the PM's office is expected shortly.
Ms. Egglezopoulou is a PhD candidate at Athens University Medical School and has a degree in Public Adminstration from Athens Pantion University.
She has an MSc in Health Services Administration (National School of Public Health) and Epidemiology in Health Services, Health Impact and Health Unit Quality (Universita Degli Studi Dell’ Aquila Italy).
She has been involved in the implementation of Quality Administration Systems and Strategy Planning, Emergency Response Planning, Targetting Plans, Operational Regulations, international quality 'tools' and health safety as well as the supervision of procedures for the compliance with and monitoring of related indices. She has received an award for programmes to improve the quality of health services at public hospitals.
Adamantia Egglezopoulo was Vice President of the Central Health Council National Committee for Rare Diseases (2018-2021).
She is a member of the EU Expert Group on Patient Safety and Quality of Care. She is also a certified evaluator at the National Accreditation System and a qualified adult trainer.
Ms. Egglezopoulou participates as a speaker at scientific conferences and has published research papers, some of which have received awards.
