Mayor Meropi Ydraiou cut the cake and gave her wishes for health and good fortune in 2023 and a stronger local authority. She said it was an especially important year as it is the first following the pandemic and the health crisis.
"We experienced difficult times over the last three years in an unprecedented situation for humanity and for us," she said, adding that a positive factor was that we came out of it stronger.
She gave special mention to the municipal employees and the work they do for citizens both on a social level and in the modernisation of the municipality.
She also thanked the deputy mayors for their work. The lucky coin (floori) was won by a municipal employee.
