Funding for tourist developments

The Regional Governor for Enterprise and Competitiveness Giorfos Stassinopoulos has announced the 'Funding for Tourist Developments' programme. He commented that this is "a positive development especially for the Ionian Islands due to the importance of tourism in the region."

Applications for funding can be submitted from 5 September and the final date for submission is 5 December.

The minimum amounts for development funding are as follows:

1. €1m for large businesses
2. €500k for medium-sized businesses
3. €250k for small businesses
4. €100k for very small businesses
5. €50k for Social Cooperative Enterprises, Agricultural Cooperatives, Urban Cooperatives, Production Groups and Agricultural Cooperative Partnerships.

As usual with the New Development programme, the whole procedure will be conducted via the new Ministry of Development & Investment Integrated Information System (https://opsan.mindev.gov.gr) using modern automated methods for the simplification of procedures and to reduce bureaucracy.
