"Like a breath of Corfu colour and sound" - event with poetry, art and music

Everyone is invited by image Publications to an evening of poetry, art and music "7 poets and artists, like a breath of Corfu colour and sound" at 21:00 on Wednesday 10 August in the People's Garden (next to Old Palace). Seven poets, seven artists and a composer of electronic music, each connected to Corfu in their own way, work together to put on the performance.


Works by the seven artists will be on exhibition in the natural environment of the garden.

There will be a performative presentation during which seven poets will read extracts from their books, which have been published by Elvira Metallinou's company image Publications, accompanied by music composed by Vassilis Abdelas. In the background works of art relating to each poem will be spotlit and the works of the seven artists will be exhibited in the natural environment of the garden.

Fiori-Anastasia Metallinou will be taking part and her own compositions with works by well-known poets set to music. There will also be a surprise appearance by a well-known poet and publisher performing a harmonica solo.

The following poets will be giving readings: Kostas Trivizas, Stelios Roidis, Kostas Lindovois, Jenny Tseliou, Konstantinos Georgatos, Giorgos Ladovrehis and Giorgos Andriotis.

Works by the following artists will be on exhibition: Spyros Kolyvas, Ginos Dimitratos, Spyros Alamanos, Dimitris Miliotis, Tina Mascha, Nikos  Stratakis and Pinelopi Volterra.
