Lefkada Palace to connect Ionian Islands three times a week

The newly-built Lefkada Palace has been in operation for nine days, connecting the Ionian Islands three times a week and providing an island hopping service for passengers.



The boat, which was built a year ago, began operating on 30 May and is scheduled to continue its until 30 September.

The boat sails from Zakynthos to its final destination Corfu every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday it sets off from Corfu, with Zakynthos its final destination. The route includes stops at Sami in Cephalonia, Pisaetos in Ithaca, Meganisi, Lefkada and Paxos. Departure time is 06:30 and arrival time at its final destination is 19:30.



Prices

Prices vary according to the destination and distance, with 50% discount for children aged 5-10, and those with special needs. Children aged under five travel free.

Some examples of prices are: Corfu-Zakynthos - €32, Corfu-Paxos - €9.50 and Corfu-Lefkada - €19.60.



Demand

Up to now there has been limited demand but it is expected that this will change as the tourist season progresses. Travel agents have told Enimerosi that prices are considerably cheaper than for other means and it also provides a good opportunity for island hopping.

The most popular services at the moment are Corfu-Paxos and Lefkada- Paxos.

The Lefkada Palace

Lefkada Palace was constructed in 2021. It is 26m long, has two main engines providing a total of 360Hp and a speed of 20 knots. It has the capacity to host 200 passengers with safety.
