CORFU. A DEYAK crew is expected to have repaired the damage by this afternoon.
Damage to a main water pipe in Garitsa was discovered at 06:30 this morning. Mr Armeniakos said that the damage was serious as the pipe has a 1½ metre crack.
It is worth noting that there was damage to the same spot last summer. The pipe comes from Analipsi and provides the water supply for Garitsa and the Old Town. The water supply has been cut off at the moment and the DEYAK crew is expected to have repaired the damage by this afternoon.
