Parking available at the New Port from Holy Tuesday until Easter Saturday

Residents and visitors going to Easter events this week will be able to park at the New Port, this avoiding difficulties in the town centre.

Following agreement with Corfu Central Port Authority, the Seamen's Union informed the shipping companies.

The fenced-in area between the main entrance and quay 6 will be available for parking. For those that can, the use of bicycles is encouraged over the Easter period.

In its letter to the shipping companies, the Seamen's Union also says, "Special care must be taken in adhering to measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We are sure that, once again, you will act responsibly in the transfer of those on excursions."

The following areas will be available for parking over the busy week: Emporiko Kentro, outside the 1st Cemetery in Garitsa, Central Port Authority (OLKE) and Corfu National Sports Centre.

Full details of traffic measures over the Easter period will be issued by the Traffic Police shortly.
