CORFU. Music composition techniques, works of Ionian Islands composers and local Corfu music will be presented, while there will also be informal music education by the Philharmonic Bands, Choirs and other music associations by renowned musicians and teachers.

The Central Corfu Municipality, as a partner of the European 'Apollo Lands' project, is organising a series of small music workshops, tributes and masterclasses that will be held in the Faliraki conference room (Agios Nikolaos building).
 
During the Music Days 2022, music composition techniques, works of Ionian Islands composers and local Corfu music will be presented, while there will also be informal music education by the Philharmonic Bands, Choirs and other music associations by renowned musicians and teachers.

‘Composition and music technology’ workshop

‘Orchestration for a band’ workshop

‘Introduction to Ionian Islands music workshop
(Thursday 26 May 10:00-12:00, Friday 27 May 10:00-12:00 – the workshop will be livestreamed)
 
‘Informal music education in Corfu’ tribute
(Friday 13 May, 18:00-21:00)
 
‘The Music of Corfu’ masterclass
(Monday 23 May 19:00-21:00, Tuesday 24 May 19:00-21:00, Wednesday 25 May 18:30-20:30)

The Music Days 2022 are mainly for young professional musicians, music school students and pupils.
 
Admission is free but pre-registration is required by completing the application form (https://forms.gle/gRpQaKo5vjHTKShQ8) by Friday 29 April 2022. Places are limited.

During the Music Days 2022, all health protocols will be adhered to in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
 
The Music Days 2022 are organised by the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality with the support of the Living Prospects company, the Municipality's contractor in the Apollo Lands project.
 
The Apollo Lands – ‘Network for traditions and heritage in music’ project is co-funded by the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy 2014-2020 Programme and is being implemented by the Acquaviva delle Fonti Municipality of Italy, the Trepuzzi Municipality of Italy, the ‘Tito Schipa’ Music Academy of Lecce in Italy, the Ionian University’s Research Committee and the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality.
