CORFU. By the time firefighters got there, the fire had spread throughout the house.
A 92-year-old man was found dead in his burnt-out house. When the Fire Department got there with 4 fire engines and 9 firefighters, the fire had spread throughout the house.
The fire broke out just after midnight in Melikia, near the police station. It spread rapidly and led to the death of the 92-year-old man living there.
