Applications being accepted for reconnection of electricity for vulnerable households
CORFU. Application requirements and supporting documents.
The Central Corfu and the Diapontia Islands Municipality has informed that the regulation for the reconnection of electricity for vulnerable households, who have had the electricity cut off due to non-payment of bills, is being extended.
In order to support the vulnerable households and taking into account the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, eligible are those who meet the following criteria:
- The electricity must have been cut off at their main home
- Their bills must be overdue up to 31 December 2021
- They must be disconnected or have been disconnected from the network by 15 February 2022
- They must remain disconnected until the process is complete
- They themselves and their household members must meet specific income and property criteria that coincide with those of the Social Solidarity Income.
Those eligible can submit an application to the Central Corfu and the Diapontia Islands Municipal Social Policy Department, located on the 4th floor of the former Prefecture building at Samaras 13.
The following documents are required for applications:
- Latest income declaration form (E1) of all household members
- Declaration of real estate information (E9) of all household members
- Latest tax return of all household members
- Latest ENFIA (property tax) of all household members
- Family status certificate
- Disability certification from Disability Certification Centre (KEPA), for households with one or more individuals with a 67% disability or more
- Certificate from the insurance company or state hospital, for the need to use a mechanical support device at home
- Copy of the electricity bill
In case there is any change in the income or property, as well as the household members, the necessary documents may be requested by the service.
