ATHENS. Masks are mandatory both indoors and outdoors - Double masks or KN95 masks on public transport and in supermarkets - Outdoor events cancelled.
Announcing the new measures, Health Minister Thanos Plevris said that masks are mandatory everywhere.
Double masks or high-protection KN95 masks are mandatory on public transport and in supermarkets.
The Minister said that the fine for not wearing masks in coming days remains the same - €150.
Public festive events, indoors or outdoors, are cancelled and people meeting or gathering together over Christmas are advised to self-test as a precaution. Self tests are strongly advised before going anywhere.
For travellers entering Greece, even if they have a PCR test, there will be a requirement to repeat tests for Covid-19 on the second and fourth day after their entry into the country.
Mr. Plevris said that new measures will be announced after 3 January regarding leisure and entertainment, events, home-working and strict measures regarding non-essential activities.
