Approval given for Lefkimmi Vaccination Centre to continue operating

CORFU. South Corfu Deputy Mayor for Health Giorgos Sayias told ERT Kerkyra that the centre will continue to operate.
The centre has two nurses and four administrative staff recruited by the Municipality with funding from the Ministry of the Interior. The doctor responsible for the vaccination programme is Giorgos Sayias.
With the employees' contracts due to end on 31 December, there was the possibly that the centre would have to close. for this reason, the Deputy Mayor asked the Ministry to extend the contracts due to the needs created by the pandemic.
Dr. Sayias said that the Minister of the Interior Makis Voridis approved the request from South Corfu Municipality and so the vaccination centre will continue to operate for another three months.
