Corfu Hospital to receive 3 more ventilators and 16 pumps

CORFU. The equipment will be in Corfu on Monday.
Ministry of Health Service Secretary Dr. Ioannis Vlassis was in Corfu today and visited the Corfu General Hospital and the Corfu Health Centre in an effort to promote issues regarding the health sector in Corfu.
The Service Secretary was accompanied by the Corfu ND MP Stefanos Gikas and the Deputy Head of the 6th Health Region Yiannis Nikopoulos.
Mr. Gikas said that the arrival of the Service Secretary coincided with positive news.
In particular, the Health Minister Thanos Plevris and the General Secretary Yiannis Kotsiopoulos, responded positively to the General Hospital’s request and offered immediately three ventilators and 16 pumps from the Ministry of Health’s stocks (they cost more than €40,000), which will be in Corfu on Monday and will significantly help the hospital.
Three more doctors for the ICU
Following the hospital administration’s recommendation, three more permanent doctor positions have been added to the ICU – making a total of 9 positions from the 6 that existed before.
