CORFU. Due to the sharp increase in vaccinations and the latest developments in the vaccination programme.
Due to the sharp increase in vaccinations and the latest developments in the vaccination programme, Corfu Health Centre finds itself with a shortage of personnel which hasn't been covered despite repeated requests to the 6th Health Region.
In order to cover the needs of the vaccination programme, Health Centre coordinator Sofia Mavropoulou Kavvadia has turned to the local branch of the Red Cross for emergency assistance. "To my great relief, they responded immediately," she says. "We owe a great debt of gratitude for the valuable assistance from Corfu Red Cross, who, with a sense of responsibility to the Corfu public, responded immediately to our request."
Lefkimmi Health Centre also had to slow down the vaccination programme due to a shortage of personnel, as announced recently by the Centre's Director Giorgos Sayias: "We have to inform the public that vaccinations are not being administered on Sundays, due to the shortage of personnel."
