New call for claims for compensation from Thomas Cook

Progress regarding the liquidation of the bankrupt Thomas Cook.

The Insolvency Service and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy announced the reports to the creditors, shareholders and employees of the bankrupt Thomas Cook following the process that started on 23 September 2019, provided an update on the progress of the liquidation and called for creditors to submit their claims for compensation from the group's assets.

A dedicated and secure claims website has been launched to assist creditors submit their claims for money owed in the liquidations of the Thomas Cook group of companies.

The court has appointed Special Managers to assist the Official Receiver with the liquidation. Insolvency Practitioners from AlixPartners have been appointed as Special Managers over the airline and tour operator companies. Insolvency Practitioners from Interpath Advisory have been appointed as Special Managers to the Group’s retail division and to its aircraft maintenance companies and all of them are progressing with the necessary procedures.
