CORFU. Applications can be submitted from Monday 1 November until Friday 19 November.
According to statistics, one in eight Greek women is diagnosed with breast cancer each year. If diagnosed at an early stage, it is highly curable. However, this type of cancer is asymptomatic in its early stages.
A woman with cancer has to fight for her life and the whole family has to go through one of the most difficult situations.
Regular screenings, especially after the age of 35, is key. In addition to the woman’s own responsibility, the State itself has a key role in providing valuable help regarding the citizens’ health.
The Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality, in its effort to raise awareness, to awaken, but also to offer the most essential services to the citizens, proceeds, on the occasion of yesterday's International Day against Breast Cancer, in specific actions.
In particular, following the initiative of Mayor Meropi Ydraiou and in collaboration with the Municipality’s Social Service, an Extraordinary Financial Assistance of €200 will be provided in order to support economically weak women and enable them to have the necessary preventive gynecological examinations (digital mammography, PAP test and ultrasound scan).

1. Photocopy of ID
2. Latest tax return – E1 form (2020)
3. Ε9 form
4. Family certificate

6. IBAN number
7. Application form
