The Municipality’s ten proposals waiting for the “green light” from the “Antonis Tritsis” programme

CORFU. The proposals are expected to be evaluated by the Special Management Service of the Ministry of Interior, in order to receive funding approval.

Meropi Ydraiou and Stelios Petsas discussed the evaluation of the proposals for inclusion in the “Antonis Tritsis” funding programme at a meeting they had in Athens last week.
 
At a press conference, the Mayor said that she called for priority to be given to the Gouvia - Kontokali school centre and the creation of sports facilities.
 
The Mayor also asked Mr. Petsas for additional funding from the Ministry's programme regarding school buildings, especially the ones in the town that are facing serious problems, such as the Vocational High School (EPAL).
 
At the meeting, Mr. Petsas said he planned to visit Corfu on November 15 in order to see the condition of the town's school buildings in person.
     
The Municipality’s submitted proposals for funding projects from the “Antonis Tritsis” programme concern important development and other projects regarding school buildings, sports, solid waste, culture, protection of schools from earthquakes, rural roads, electromobility and the maturity of studies for Vidos Island.
 
 
The proposals are as follows:
 
- SUPPLY OF GREEN BIO-WASTE TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT FOR THE SEPARATE COLLECTION OF GREEN ORGANIC WASTE-PRUNINGS (€2,301,440)
- IMPROVEMENT OF RURAL ROADS IN CENTRAL CORFU AND DIAPONTIA ISLANDS MUNICIPALITY (€1,850,000)
- URBAN REGENERATION - SPORTS FACILITIES -REDEVELOPMENT (€10,460,877)
- SCHOOL CENTRE OF GOUVIA - KONTOKALI (€5,683,300)
- EXTENDED DIGITAL PLATFORM FOR MUNICIPAL FLEET MANAGEMENT/INTERCONNECTION OF SMART CITY FUNCTIONS (€450,541)
- COMPLETION OF CENTRAL CORFU AND DIAPONTIA ISLANDS MUNICIPALITY PROJECTS & ACTIONS (€620,000)
- MAINTENANCE OF INFRASTRUCTURE & SUPPLY OF SPORTS EQUIPMENT FOR SCHOOLS (€493,978)
- INTEGRATED PROGRAMME FOR THE PRE-SEISMIC CHECKS OF CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE CENTRAL CORFU AND DIAPONTIA ISLANDS MUNICIPALITY (€173,600)
- SUPPLY OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES AND CHARGING STATIONS (€173,600)
- CREATION OF AN INNOVATION, CULTURE & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING LABORATORY FOR THE PROMOTION OF THE ASPECTS OF THE GREEK REVOLUTION OF 1821 & THE CENTRAL CORFU AND DIAPONTIA ISLANDS MUNICIPALITY CULTURAL HERITAGE, WITH THE USE OF ICT APPLICATIONS & AR TECHNOLOGIES (€237,894)

The proposals are expected to be evaluated by the Special Management Service of the Ministry of Interior, in order to receive funding approval, while there is an excellent level of maturity for immediate implementation. It is also worth noting that the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality submitted proposals in all fields of the “Antonis Tritsis” programme. 
 
The Mayor especially thanked the Technical Works Department and the responsible Deputy Mayor for their long-term work and the completeness of the proposals and files, as well as the Department of Finance, Planning and Operational Work and the responsible Deputy Mayors.
