CORFU. The alley is inaccessible for pedestrians, resulting in a loss of earnings for shopkeepers.

Two weeks have passed since DEYAK dug up the alley in the old town to replace a sewage pipe.

Sevastianou, located between Agion Panton and Nik. Theotoki-Plakada, is a small alley full of shops which is always busy with locals and tourists, but for two weeks it has been inaccessible for pedestrians, resulting in a loss of earnings for shopkeepers.

DEYAK dug most of the slabs in the alley and replaced the pipe. Shopkeepers have been waiting since the end of last week for the slabs to be replaced to make the alley accessible again.

They have been in touch with DEYAK continuously but have not been able to get a specific answer, one shopkeeper told Enimerosi. They wait every morning for the work to be completed, but to no avail. "They have told us that there is a problem and they don't have a worker available, but the days are passing and who is going to pay our bills?"
