New addiction treatment and rehabilitation unit in Corfu

CORFU. KETHEA (Therapy Centre for Dependent Individuals) is setting up an Immediate Access Centre under the Regional Authority.

The Unit is a Ionian Islands Regional Administration specialist service for the treatment of addictions and is part of the ESPA 2014-2020 funding programme.

KETHEA (Therapy Centre for Dependent Individuals) issued the following statement:

The Corfu public will now have access to free, local services dealing with addictions to drugs, alcohol, gambling and online gaming which will be adapted to specific local needs.

The new unit has the support of both the Regional Administration and the Municipality.

The Immediate Access Centre offers primary support and short-term treatment for the use of or addiction to drugs, alcohol, gambling and online gaming. It is aimed at those who have a personal problem or those in their immediate circle. All the services are free, without a waiting list and completely confidential.

The Unit is staffed by a well-qualified team with years of experience at KETHEA, the largest addiction treatment and rehabilitation network in Greece and adviser to the UN on matters concerning drugs.

The Unit is part of the Ionian Islands 2014-2020 Business Programme and is co-funded by the Greek State and the European Union.
