CORFU. Concern was caused during the summer camp programme in Vidos for children aged 6-13, when it was found that two brothers had Covid-19.

However, as the Councillor responsible for Vidos and Lazareto islands Spyros Neratzis told Enimerosi, the children were already not participating in the programme since last week.

The two children appeared symptoms on Tuesday 10 August and they got tested, where it was found that they had Covid-19. They were immediately quarantined. As Mr. Neratzis explained, there was no need for the other participants of the programme to get tested by EODY, as the two children had not participated in the programme for about a week now.

It should be noted that currently about 25 out of the 70 children are participating in the programme “Summer in Vidos 2021”, which is organised by the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality.
