CORFU. In the presence of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Ieronymos, and the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharaki, the official inauguration of the fully renovated summer camp facilities of the Holy Metropolis of Corfu in Kassiopi will take place on Thursday, 16 July.
The Holy Metropolis of Corfu, Paxos and Diapontia Islands is inaugurating its fully renovated summer camp facilities in Kassiopi on Thursday, 16 July.
The ceremony will take place at 19:30, in the presence of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Ieronymos, and the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharaki. Representatives of local government, authorities, the clergy, and members of the public are also expected to attend.
The renovation of the camp facilities marks the reopening of an important facility for accommodation and creative activities for children and young people, which the Metropolis hopes to use for the development of its camping and pastoral work. During the event, the improvements carried out at the facilities, as well as the prospects for their use in the coming years, are expected to be presented.
